If you work in music or media and you're open to an honest conversation about your experience, we'd like to hear from you. No formal pitches, no agenda, just tell us a bit about what you do.
We're looking to speak with people across the creative sector. Whether you're directly involved in creating content as a composer, filmmaker or session player, working behind the scenes as a producer or sound designer, or shaping the business side as a copyright expert, agent or director, if you have a story to tell, we want to hear it.
A Featured Appearance Your conversation will be published on YouTube and all major podcast platforms, as well as featured on the Media Music Now website. We Come to You We'll travel to your studio, home, or office. A professional setting always helps, but the conversation is what matters most. Content You Can Share Once published, you'll have a polished, professionally edited episode to share across your own social and professional networks via a link or embed code.
I am based near Manchester, which allows for more immediate scheduling within the North West. However, I regularly visit Wales, Yorkshire, and the Lake District, and am happy to go further afield for the right guest.
For guests outside the Manchester region, I aim to group recordings where possible. If you're based further away, get in touch, and we can discuss coordinating a visit.
I'm looking for professionals with experience in the industry and a clear story, angle, or perspective to share.
To represent the full breadth of the industry, I aim for a varied mix of guests and have to be selective with sessions.
I want you to feel comfortable being authentic while protecting our professional reputations. I follow a simple process:
Real-time control: You can say "Off Camera" at any time to stop and "On Camera" to resume. This marks the exact spots for the edits, so you can speak freely knowing the off-camera sections stay that way.
The two-second rule: Nothing is live. If you stumble or want to rephrase something, just stop, count to two, and restart the sentence. I’ll remove those pauses and stumbles in the edit so the conversation flows naturally.
Pre-publication preview: Once the edit is assembled, I will provide a private link to the video. This is a courtesy review to ensure nothing sensitive was accidentally included, rather than an opportunity for creative or technical revisions.
Creative direction: To maintain a consistent look across the series, MediaMusicNow retains final editorial control over the technical cut, including shot selection, audio processing, and pacing.
I’ve put together a concise two-page PDF that summarises everything we’ve covered here to help you prepare.

The focus of this series is on the quality of the conversation rather than high-end, glossy studio production. I use a lightweight, mobile setup comprising two consumer-grade compact cameras and wireless microphones.
The results are clean and natural, but the setup remains unobtrusive, feeling more casual than a film set. You can see examples of the vibe and quality for yourself on our Conversations Page.
At the moment, I am only recording sessions in person. While remote recording platforms have come a long way, I can't control the environment at the other end. Things like room acoustics, microphone placement, and camera quality would vary wildly from one guest to the next. To ensure the series has a consistent look and feel and that the conversation has that genuine face-to-face chemistry, I’ve decided to keep it in-person for now.
While the conversation itself usually lasts about 60–90 minutes (or as long as the chat flows naturally), please allow a little extra time for me to set up and pack away the equipment.
No. This is meant to be mutually beneficial. I provide the equipment, production and a published episode on the MediaMusicNow website. You provide your time and industry insight. It's a genuine exchange. Your insight and time for a professionally produced episode you can share across your own networks.
I can work in almost any environment: studio, home office, or even a quiet living room. We just need a relatively quiet spot where we can sit comfortably opposite each other. Good natural light helps, but don't worry if your space isn't perfectly lit.
Because this is a MediaMusicNow production, the full video is hosted exclusively on our official channels and podcast platforms. We encourage you to share the official links or embed code on your website and social media profiles. Additionally, I am often happy to provide a few short clips for your own promotional use, subject to approval, to help you highlight your appearance on the series.
If you work in the media industry and have a story, an opinion, or a perspective to share, I’d love to hear from you.
If you're interested, please complete the short form, and I'll be in touch.
