What is Fair Use?

Fair use, also known as fair dealing, is a clause in copyright law (U.S in particular) that allows limited use of copyrighted material without permission from the owner(s). The criteria for fair use differs from country to country and can only be determined by studying the copyright doctrine of your country. Confirmation of the points related to your particular case usually requires a legal practitioner.
