On Hold FAQ
Q. How long does the on hold service take?
A. 3-5 working days from placing your order.
Q. Do you offer a next day on hold delivery service?
A. In urgent cases, we can arrange a 24hr turnaround of your on hold package (excluding bank holidays / weekends and subject to availability). This will require us to assign a 'chaser' to the account, where one of our team will follow up on every aspect of your on hold package to ensure delivery by download within 24hrs. The additional charge for a quick turnaround is £50 minimum.
Q. Do I get to hear a custom demo of my on-hold recording?
A. Unfortunately, we don't offer custom on hold demos for the one-time payment we charge. However, on hold voice demos are available to listen to on the website. Listen to our on hold voice over demos here >
Q. Can I have the music file separately?
A. The royalty free music license requires us to combine the music and voice as a single file. Should you require the music file separately, we have to charge an additional license fee (typically £24.95).
Q. Can I use the on hold package in multiple locations?
A. The on hold service is primarily aimed at small to medium sized businesses and is for use in 1 to 2 locations.
The service is available to large international companies too, but is subject to a higher usage fee. This is negotiated on a case by case basis, but still represents massive savings for large blue chip companies.
Q. Can I have this updated in the future?
A. Yes, you can update your on hold package at any time, however, in order for us to do this, we recommend you purchase the optional backup when having your original on hold package created by us.
As you can understand, we deal with a vast amount of audio and have to clear out storage every couple of months or so, therefore, we can not guarantee that your source files will be on our system in 6 or 12 months (for example). The back up service from Media Music Now gives you life-long access to all of these files – find out more here >
Q. What if I don't take the backup, but need updates in the future?
A. Purchasing the back up will enable us to re-access all of your original source files, which will save time and money if you require alterations in the future.
For example, if your on hold package cost £200 initially and you decide that you would like to update a section of it, by having access to the original backup files, the update may cost only £50 instead of the full £200 (in this example). Without back up files, we have no option but to do the whole on hold package again. Read about our backup service here >
Q. What format is the final audio provided in?
A. The standard format we provide audio files is .wav, however, we can supply it in any audio format should wav not be compatible with your telephone hardware.
