Policy & FAQ for Payment of Voice Over & Audio Production Work
Payment Policy
As a web-based company, it is our company policy to work on a pre-payment basis for small to medium size jobs. When a job is difficult to quote for accurately, or if it is a large project, we work on the basis of an initial deposit to get started with staged payments (where appropriate) and a final payment upon completion before delivering the master files.
Files delivered before the final payment will contain audio watermarks to prevent unauthorised use.
In the unlikely event that we do provide you with the master audio files and request payment after delivery, we expect that amounts due are settled within 48 hours of the payment request. We do not offer any credit period, or have a conventional accounts department and therefore any late payments may incur an admin charge and discretionary interest.
Policy FAQ
Why is this your policy? There are a number of reasons: -
- Audio production jobs often involve music and sound effects where rights need to be cleared in advance of use.
- We are a very competitive online business charging much less than face-to-face businesses as our overheads are much lower.
- Our accounts infrastructure is automated to keep overheads low, therefore, we do not have an invoice or accounts department in the conventional sense
- Our online transaction system automatically creates invoices and pays our suppliers.
- We get very busy and have to manage our resources efficiently and book time carefully based on pre-paid bookings. Maintaining credit accounts is not practical or necessary for us to trade successfully in the numerous areas of our business.
We understand that having a credit account can be more convenient for you, however, we know from experience that this is not a feasible business model for us.
Unfortunately, it is not practical for us to change the policy based on a small number of requests. Also, our policy works fine for 99% of our clients and the client base continues to expand. We currently have over 4000 registered users of our sites and services and several hundred regular clients.
This is rather unconventional, surely you will lose a lot of business? Not really, our clients understand our policy and the reasons behind it. We are not a typical bricks and mortar company, we work from many locations around the world with key people in our network to provide affordable high quality results.
If you can accept and respect our policy, then we can help. If this method does not work for you, then there are an abundance of other production houses that work the conventional way, but you can expect to pay multiples of the quote we gave you.
Can we meet first to discuss our requirements?Meetings are generally problematic for us because we are always very busy. Also, our team is spread throughout numerous territories.
We usually find that meetings are not necessary for us to work on your project as almost anything we/you need can be sorted by phone or email.
If you still feel you need a meeting, we may consider it, but only if we feel that it is totally necessary for us to complete our part in the project.
If you feel that meetings are essential to your project, we may suggest that you would be better to find another service provider more suited to your needs.
How do I make payment and is it secure? Our payment provider is WorldPay (part of the Royal Bank Of Scotland). Any transactions are dealt with by them through a very secure ecommerce system, encrypted with high security technology. Payment can be made by Debit Card, Credit Card, AMEX or PayPal. For large on going jobs, we may take direct debit or bank transfer in the UK.
Can I trust you? How do I know you can deliver the goods? We have a good reputation, a strong web presence, and good business integrity. Over the last 5 years we have established Media Music Now as a trusted name for royalty free music licensing, custom music, voice overs and audio production and always aim to deliver quality and great service.
If you are unsure about our services ask us to send you an example of previous work.
