Why do I need to pay for music and who gets the money?

Our revenue is split 50/50 between the music maker and us. All of our music makers are independent composers, producers and bands that rely on distributors like us for their income. Without earning money from their music, composers are unable to produce high quality professional music. By purchasing music through Media Music Now you are supporting them and us, enabling us to improve our service and continue to provide revenue for our composers, artists, bands and producers.

Why don't you have mainstream chart music?

Mainstream chart music is too expensive and very complicated for us to license. Collecting royalties for mainstream music is the responsibility of publishers, record labels and royalty collecting agencies. For this reason it is not cost effective for us to sell mainstream music.
