You can use our music and sound effects as part of an online video, powerpoint presentation, demonstration, corporate video / DVD or multimedia presentation.

Editing the music 

You can convert the file into any format required for your project. These versions can be made shorter, looped to make them longer so that it fits into your project or spliced together in order to make variations of the playback.

Physical items:

You can create physical promotional items containing our music or sound effects. These include DVD’s, CD ROM, software on CD / DVD, CD audiobooks etc. With our standard license you can create up to 5000 physical items.

Global Use:

You can use our music anywhere in the world. There are no territory restrictions. 

Use it in any country or use it in many countries for as long as you like.

Non Physical items: 

You can create non-physical items containing our music or sound effects. These include podcasts, online video download and online software.

Our standard license covers this use providing that the items are not being sold. If the items are being sold, sales beyond 5000 units would require an extended licence.

Items for Sale:

You can create items for sale that contain our music or sound effects. These include training courses, audio books, games and mobile phone apps.

If you expect to sell more than 5000 units you would need to purchase an extended license. If you do not know how many you are going to sell, you can purchase our standard license and upgrade later by emailing us.

Apps:

You can create apps that contain our music or sound effects.

If you expect to generate more than 5000 app sales you would need to purchase an extended license. If you do not know whether you will exceed 5000 copies you can purchase our standard license and upgrade later by emailing us. If your app is free there is no need to purchase an extended license.

On Hold Music: 

You can license our music for use in your on hold player without having to pay additional fees to performance royalty organisations (PRO’s).

The composer will be paid through us from your licensing fee and has agreed to waive performance royalties on this usage.

Ownership:

You can send a copy to someone else and instruct them to use it as part of your production but you must make it clear that you are the music license holder.

This means they must not use the music in their own project and should delete it when the work they are doing for you is finished. If they want to use it in their projects they must purchase their own license from us.

Your Clients: 

You can license our music on behalf of your clients. As long as there is a chain of permission you are covered. For example, any questions about the music you licensed on behalf of the client will come back to you which will then link back to us.

In this scenario you are the music license holder, not your client.  If they want to use it in additional projects they must purchase their own license.

Events:

You can use our music in public at trade shows and events as part of your display, demonstration or presentation. You do not have to pay any additional fees to performance royalty organisations (PRO’s).

The composer will be paid through us from your licensing fee and has agreed to waive the performance royalty for this usage.

Broadcast: 

You can use our music in film, TV and radio as part of a program or advert.

There is no additional charge from us but we request that cue sheets be completed where applicable as this may benefit the composer.

Add Voice Over:

You can speak over the music or play the music on its own as part of your production or project. The speaking can be part of the audio file or live at an event or PowerPoint presentation for example.

Sing Over:

You can sing over the music but only as part of an advertisement or corporate promotion. 

Not as a song for sale, this is a breach of our license agreement.

License Length: 

The license we provide is in perpetuity. This basically means that the music can be used forever.

Web & Online: 

Our audio can be used online as website background music, in online videos, including YouTube, podcasts and in viral campaigns.

Web and online use is covered by our standard license providing that the item(s) are not being sold. If the item(s) are being sold an extended license is required for more than 5000 units.

Films:

Our music can be used in low budget films, student films, film festival and for film making competitions. Our Standard License covers this use providing you are not creating more than 5000 physical duplications e.g. DVD. If you are making more than 5000 DVD's an extended license must be purchased.

Our music can also be used in large budget films but cue sheets must be completed in these cases.

Weddings:

Our royalty free music can be used in wedding photography slideshows or wedding video / DVD. In addition it can be played in the wedding venues as part of the service or reception.

Alternatively, you may wish to consider commissioning a bespoke wedding theme.

Other:

Our music can also be used in a variety of other situations including kiosks & vending machines, mobile phones, novelty products and more.

License Agreement Sample: 

Our music license agreement is created by our system with customer details and track information. This becomes available every time you download a track from our music library and can be download anytime from 'My Account' area.

The uses covered here describe our music usage in plain English, however, if you want to see the legal jargon here  is a sample of our license agreement

Making a Song:

You can not sing over the music and sell or promote it as your own song. You can not remix the music and claim authorship over it.

Reseller: 

You can not resell or give the music away as music only. It must be combined with something, for example, a video, marketing message or voice over.

Sharing:

You can not share or distribute music licensed from us. As the license holder you are responsible for ensuring the music is used for its intended purpose and is not distributed freely. If someone else wishes to use the music in their own projects, they too must license the music from us. 

Previews: 

You can not use our music previews or edited versions of them in your finished project. Previews can be used as placeholders in order to provide examples to your clients but music used in final projects must be licensed from us. Royalty free does not mean free.

Extended License:

You can not make more than 5000 physical copies or sell more than 5000 units of our music on the standard license. If you make more than 5000 copies you must purchase or upgrade to an extended license.
