Our Method: Two Microphone Field Recording

The focus of this recording was to get feedback / testimonials from exhibitors and visitors to the trade show. As always, this public area had varying levels of background ambiance and choice of equipment and techniques used were key decisions in capturing the best results on the day. With the raw material recorded to a high standard, the audio editing stage was focused on picking and blending the best sound bites to produce a seamless piece of professional audio for promotional or podcast use.

Altrincham Rehearsal Rooms

Our Method: Two Microphone Roaming Recording

As part of an existing podcast series, Simon at the Altrincham Rehearsal Rooms wanted to produce a session where he could wander from room to room listening to and interviewing bands as they rehearsed. This was aimed at promoting the rehearsal rooms, the bands and an up and coming event where bands are playing at the Altrincham festival.

The recording involved using a roaming kit and careful microphone use in order to capture a high quality recording. Editing involved editing dialogue, adding a bleep to cover some bad language and volume matching of the music / spoken dialogue.

The production effectively captures the atmosphere and activity at the rehearsal rooms.
