Will Maslen, Composer & Producer
Will is an electronic music producer based in Wiltshire who has been composing an eclectic variety of electronic music for more than 10 years. He studied Music Production from leaving school; spending two years completing a BTEC National Diploma in Popular Music at the City of Bath College and while on this course he performed with a number of bands in and around Bath.
It was while he was at Bath College that he was introduced to Cubase; sampling and synthesizers like Korg, Akai samplers and Roland synths. He went on to complete an HND in Music Production at Reading College where he was taught to use many types of sequencing software like Apple Macs; Logic; Cubase; AbletonLive and Pro Tools. He learned to use several types of mixers made for example by Mackie, Yamaha and Nieve and spent a lot of time in the studio using different types of microphones; recording a whole range of different types of music; studying acoustic design; studio and live room acoustics; microphone placement and live sound. All the time his true passion remained with electronic sounds.
