Each project is unique. Aidan aims for a thorough understanding of your requirements, messages, audience and competition. His target is to resonate with your concepts and vision.
In 2006, Aidan Pinsent graduated with a first from Hertfordshire University in composition and technology. For his degree he studied and applied: analysis, orchestration / arrangement, scoring for media, sound design etc. Compositional techniques included counterpoint, interactive music, fusion, electro-acoustic and commercial / world music. Aidan’s hard work and creativity won him the university prize for “best overall performance”.

Audio-Visual: Films, adverts, audio books, theatre production.
Interactive Media: Computer games, training / tutorial programs, new-media, installation art.
Performance Material for live players: number systems for beginners to standard sheet music.
Between projects, Aidan is passionate about exploring new territory and expanding his skills and experience. Currently Aidan is working on two low budget films, a Prog Rock album for a novel and a growing selection of original production music.

Nightfall: Inspired by the short by Isaac Asimov this eerie and uncomfortable soundscape is suitable for dark Sci-fi. Using several psychoacoustic techniques to create unnatural sound quality, all the source material originated from the piano. |

Racing: Commercial riff based rock piece suitable for radio production. Fast tempo, unstoppable, electric guitars and heavy drum beat. |

Skylight: From the short film “Sea Monkeys” this magical number features several interlocking melodies each representing a character motif. The motifs can be reconstructed to fit any scene based on the characters present (or referenced etc). |

Existentialist lies: A strange piano dance with a macabre feel in a studio context; ‘truth’ may be debatable, but lies are certain. |

Runnin’ wild: (Commercial) Medium-fast tempo, twangy, toe tapping cowboy piece with a western feel. |
|
|
Deep Blue: Written specifically as a free (think open source) piece for commercial or non-commercial use, deep blue is an extension of the current ‘free music’ trend to encompass production contexts. Suitable for marketing schemes where brand association with the music can be established before free distribution. |
